AZB 2004-   700 Shows in 8 States- from Colorado to Florida. Everything from Electric Factory Concert Events to Private Parties. The band has been selected to perform in the largest Zydeco Festivals on the East Coast, they have opened for the top two Zydeco bands in the World and they have even headlined several Festivals.
The Snakeman has performed this "infectious", upbeat music since 1985. This was long before Zydeco had any Regional popularity, let alone it's current international status. Even amongst the World-wide Zydeco community of musicians he is distinguished by his ability to play all 3 types of Accordion used in this Genre. This talent allows the AZB to cover any style of Zydeco.
For the past 10 years he has fronted the band with his lovely daughter- Laura, better known as the "Zydeco Girl". Laura is starting to add some vocals and she has a wonderful stage presence. But she is most impressive with her amazing skill on the Frottoir. Laura is also a Great Zydeco dancer and the dance-tempo consultant for the band.
This father-daughter team is backed up by an excellent ensemble of professional musicians. Al Zuppo drives the bass guitar, Buddy Plaugher is a world class drummer, and Paul Brion is a great guitarist. All three have been performing for over 30 years, they love what they do and it shows.
It all tranlates into one exciting, versitile band playing with passion. The Alligator Zydeco Band is "WHITE HOT"
