ALLIGATOR ZYDECO BAND The ALLIGATOR ZYDECO BAND performs the music from Louisiana, called Zydeco. The events, that the band provides entertainment for, are as diverse and unique as the muti-cultural influences that make up this musical gumbo. We perform at a variety of events including:corporate functions, private parties, coffeehouses, taverns, restaurants, parades, night clubs, weddings, conventions, trade shows, dances and festivals. Performance The AZB performs within a 8 state region VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY, CO & FLA Through sheer number of performances, return requests and the type of events we are asked to play, I'm certain that the AZB is the most popular and well-known, band of its kind, in PA, DE, and NJ. We are gaining popularity in MD/DC, the hot-bed of Zydeco activity for the east coast. Advertising & Media Coverage Our mailing list (over 600) includes people from MD, DE, PA, NJ&NY. Schedules are provided at all events.A link can be found on the following websites: Gary Haymans: ZydeZine-ghayman@erols.com, & Arns mid-Atlantic & Jeremy Rices: jrice@physiome.com Balt/DC. We have many newspaper contacts and do advance publicity whenever possible. The AZB has had news media coverage, with photographs, published in 5 states. Our band name has been mentioned along with film clips, on channels 3, 6, &10 many times, in the Tri-State area news programs& channel 2 in DE. Recently, two of our original songs were video taped and aired, multiple times for Studio 57 in Philadelphia. Radio stations have aired our music, interviews, and advertised our gigs also. We had 7 songs broadcast live on the Y100(100.3 FM) Radio Station, from the Mardi Gras party at Fat Tuesdays one of the larger events in Phila.Special note regarding the media If you have received my collages of the AZB’s news clippings and articles, it is evident that I can generate news media interest. In many instances we seem to attract the interest of the onsite media, whether or not we are the featured band or we are sharing the bill with renowned artists. Speaking of which, you will notice from the clippings, that the AZB performs in the same venues as the most famous and popular Zydeco bands. After reading my press release and information documents, it is obvious in several instances, that the writer of the article simply rewrote my words. However, in the other articles, blurbs, and reviews you will see adjectives and phrases such as: "… the AZB is a great band", "…fantastic", " …high energy zydeco", "…a stand out", "…excellent", "…not to be missed" , "…an excellent dance band", "…becoming a favorite at festivals and dances", from Colorado- "…has been the darlings of the East Coast Zydeco scene for the past 3-4 years." "… and C. J. Chenier who gave the Alligators two thumbs up." and from the coverage at Penns Landing Jam on the River in Philadelphia – "The Delco based Allligator Zydeco Band is keeping company with all these national acts." "This is the first year the Jam is sponsoring a local Zydeco band". Finally- "one of the best Zydeco bands in the country-bar none"- Floyd Murry Dining & Entertainment Magazine.Important Events The band has headlined some festivals and has opened for the internationally known Buckwheat Zydeco, the Drifters, the Coasters and C.J. Chenier . Our group was the 1st Zydeco band outside of Louisiana,to be included in the JAM On The RIVER (Penns Landing, Phila., PA). We also performedalong with the most famous Zydeco acts, in the Crawfish Festival (Fla) and the ‘98 Gumbo Jam (MD). These are three of the largest Zydeco festivals on the east coast. And if there is a standard, that a Zydeco band could be measured by, in the DE-PA area, it would be playing for the Allons Danser dance organization. The AZB is one of the only non-Louisiana bands to perform for their dances,as well as the following Cajun/Zydeco Dance groups: Somebody Scream (MD), CFCZ Colorado Friends of Cajun&Zydeco(CO) and LITMA Long Island Traditional Music Assoc (NY) We’ve maintained return engagements in places that carry the top name Zydeco bands in PA,DE,MD,NY& NJ.Promotional Information To our credit, the majority of the performances above, were attained without the benefit of a professional "PROMO-PAK". They were secured mainly through referral (many listed below)and/or my dedicated efforts. The promotional information I currenty offer is: a card, press release,(this) information page, some newspaper coverage and an out-dated demo tape. Its not a bad tape, I've sold over 1500 with no complaints. But the contrast between our live sound and that tape is beyond comparison.I need a new band photo and a CD. We have an independent label willing to back the CD. What a unique dilemma- I'm too busy performing to progress to the next level of my profession. What a great excuse! If you need more convincing-Please call any of places we have played or the references listed. ** New CD coming soonReferences Electric Factory Concerts- Drew Pompilio-215 569 9400 Michael Lipman 410 922-5428Penns Landing Corp.-Keeya Branson 215 629 3215 Kathleen Pearle (Allons Danser)215-576-0839Donna Stasiorowski (Allons Danser)215-483-1819 Gary Hayman International Zyde-Zine- ghayman@erols.comMusic Center Glen Ferracone 610 594-9636 Peggy Leiby (Heritage Dance Assoc)215-643-4397Fred Beckley 215-963-9195 Terry Smith (Showstoppers)610-565-9069 Lou Sceinfeld (SES) 215-985-4450Kevin (Old Bay) 732-246-3111 Sam Losagio (Entertianment)610-253-1117 Flora Productions 717-523-8452
